From Pro Photography to Stays: Our Journey with STR Photography & Hosting

We launched STR Photography around the same time a startup called Airbnb was just taking off — 15 years ago. Back then, we had the incredible opportunity to collaborate with Airbnb and document some of the most beautiful short-term rental properties around the world.

As a photographer, this was a dream come true. I got to travel across Asia, Europe, and the U.S., meeting amazing hosts and discovering truly one-of-a-kind properties. Each place told a story, and every host had a unique vision — it was impossible not to be inspired.

That inspiration led me to start hosting my own Airbnb in Los Angeles

Over the years, I’ve learned that what makes a short-term rental stand out isn’t just the space — it’s the experience. Whether it's a converted vintage airplane turned Airbnb, a tiny glass-walled cabin nestled in the woods, or a luxury trailer with the perfect view — the magic is in the details. I’ve always been drawn to spaces that offer peace, creativity, and a little escape from the digital noise of everyday life.
